    Officially launched by the then Deputy Prime Minister and now Prime Minister YAB Dato’ Seri Najib Tun Abdul Razak on 28 October 2009, the RM45 million project witnessed the rebirth of a heritage airport commonly referred to as Subang Airport or Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport. Catering to the growing industry of private aviation, it also serves as a hub to community airlines, being the main base for domestic commercial turbo-prop operations viz. Firefly, Malindo Air.
